Field Notebook Exercise 7—Mapping Introduction

Required reading:
Lopez, Barry. “The Mappist” In Vintage Lopez. New York: Random House, 2004. (In your course packet)
Sanderson, Eric. Mannahatta. New York: Abrams, 2009—Chapters 1-3

Optional Reading:

Read the required readings carefully. Come to class prepared to talk about Lopez’s fictional short story and the background of Mannahatta. We will be having a class discussion and if you are not speaking up, I will call on you directly!
